About This Quote

It is either coincidence piled on top of coincidence, said Hollus, "or it is deliberate design. During the Cold War, Hollus was involved in the construction of an underground base that was designed to survive nuclear attacks. The base was built deep under the ocean using several different types of rock. When Hollus started his construction job, he had no idea what the final product would look like.

It was merely his job to follow instructions and build the most bombproof building possible. As people came to visit him during the project, he noticed something strange about them. They were always very interested by a particular rock near his office.

It turned out that this rock had a unique property that only a few other rocks possessed. When he would draw a line around this rock with a pencil, it would glow bright red for a moment before going out completely. He could not stop himself from asking what made this rock glow red for a moment before going out completely.

He soon found out that the other rocks that were used as pillars for the underground base were similar to this one, except they were dull grey instead of red.
